Entre los días 28 de Febrero y 01 de Marzo, se llevó a cabo, en Salamanca, el curso Operaciones Verticales dictado por la Empresa Abseiling EIRL, sumándose a las dos capacitaciones anteriores realizadas por dicha empresa al Cuerpo de Bomberos de Salamanca. En esta oportunidad se contó también con la presencia de tres voluntarios del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Illapel, ciudad ubicada a unos 30 kilómetros de Salamanca (aprox.)
La abrupta geografía de Salamanca (ciudad pre-cordillerana) y la gran cantidad de minas existentes en sus alrededores, requieren de la formación y preparación del personal bomberil en temas como el Rescate en Alturas.
En la capacitación fueron abordados temas como el uso de herramientas utilizadas en Operaciones Verticales, los polipastos, ascenso y descenso y algunas técnicas de rescate.
El curso se dividió en dos etapas, las cuales consistieron en la Teoría, con una duración de 3 horas aproximadamente, y la etapa Practica que tuvo una duración de aproximadamente 20 horas, la cual se realizó en el puente Confluencia, ubicado en la comuna de Illapel.
Sin duda, esta capacitación contribuye al servicio brindado por el Cuerpo de Bomberos de Salamanca considerando el gran nivel y prestigio que posee Abseiling EIRL.
